Did you know that stress increases the boďy's need for vitamin C?
So if you're under stress, eat more vitamin C rich foods such as citrus, berries, greens, onions, broccoli, capsicums, tomatoes, persimmons, avocados, alfalfa and parsley, to name a few.
If there is on-going stress, a natural food-state vitamin C powder or supplement (not ascorbic acid based) may help provide for the body's increased needs. But most importantly just try to relax and avoid negative stress as much as possible. It lowers immunity, decreases optimal adrenal function, and has the tendency to exacerbate any weakness in the body.
Some common signs that you may be low in vitamin C include: poor immunity, poor wound healing, bleeding gums, joint pains, easy bruising, and lack of energy
