Sprouts are an awesome live source of nutrients, enzymes, antioxidants and fibre. The sprouting of seeds unleashes and increases their nutrient content substantially.
And the good thing is, sprouts are so easy to grow yourself at home for very minimal cost. Simply cover the bottom of the sprouting jar with sprouting seeds, add enough water to cover the seeds, leave to soak over night, then drain and leave the jar up-right on an angle to allow any excess water to drain off. Continue to rinse and drain once a day until sprouts have grown - which is usually within two to four days depending on the type of seeds being sprouted. Once sprouted store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
